I didn't purchase any timeshares LOL. Here's what happened. I got an email for Sheraton and Hilton vacation properties last year, so i figured i'd get a free vacation out of them. Paid $399 for the Sheraton package at Sheraton Vistana Villages and got $220 back in a visa gift card. Paid $350 for the Hilton, got $299 back and a $200 Hilton certificate for use at any Hilton Hotels and Resorts in 6 months. I pretty much had the Sheraton vacation run from the 22nd till the 26th and Hilton run from the 26th till 29th. At Hilton Parc S, I purchased a "try it" package called a VIP (Vacation Introductory Program) for $1699 because i figured it would replace our 4 night reservation at the Bellagio that was scheduled for August and i'd probably use the last 3 nights in Italy or Miami. Our reservation for 4 nights at the Bellagio cost over 2k and I've been to the Elara before, so i wasn't worried about how it looks. I figured i'd get 4 nights at the Elara and 3 nights somewhere else. In my mind, paying them $1699 and getting more bang for my buck wasn't a bad deal because the VIP package didn't require me to actually get a timeshare. It had an 18 month "freeze period" where i can "make a decision" if i want to make the timeshare purchase or not. I didn't plan on purchasing a timeshare at anytime during the presentation but i told them i'd consider it after i was offered the VIP. After signing the papers, i immediately went online and did some research on the program. I found a bevy of negative comments about the program and decided that i was no longer interested in the VIP program. I'm just making sure no one else is out there considering this as a getaway for "free vacations" lol. Nothing is ever free. Not even if they tell you that 27k is "for life".
Seems like a lot of hassle on your part in order to get these discounts. You seem to have a good handle on what you're doing, but then you signed these papers after being 'coerced'. Unless you were forced or threatened, you weren't coerced. You thought you had a great deal...until you went online to see what others had to say about it. In fact, I can't even see where you were lied to, because you actually haven't taken any of the trips to see what you actually received vs. what they said you would receive.

Since you have the 10 day cancellation period, just cancel.
