I just needed some clarification on this Award ticket. I wanted to use it on a YYZ-YVR upcoming trip and have heard that I can upgrade it to J class using my points.

What kind of fare needs to be available for me to do this. Does it have to be an D fare or C. If it is C I have some hope but D seems to be always fully booked to YVR unless I would like to transit through YWG/YQR and YYC.

Any help is appreciated.
