I was in The Pier dining room on Wednesday afternoon and service was poor. Our appetizers were served after the mains, and over 30 minutes later and after mentioning to the staff twice that our mango and sticky rice dessert had yet to arrive, we had to leave for our gate.
I'm very mild-mannered and created no scene whatsoever, but two CX people came running after me and apologized for the poor service, saying that they would speak to people in the kitchen.
At the time I wasn't aware that the changeover is now taking place, but CX clearly is aware of the situation, as they didn't have ground staff in the dining room in the past.
