One question regarding interlining between AS and CX. I am taking AS to LAX then connect to HKG on CX. My question is: I am a DM, but how would I get a F priority tag if I check the baggage at AS counter? Thanks!
You won't get it. I presume you're checkin in at SEA or PDX or perhaps somewhere else?
Technically those tags are supposed to have the F code RFID into it, so it's irrelevant if you get the F tag. But in reality, 1.) I have no idea if an AS interline would achieve that in the same way a KA interline does, and 2.) It just doesn't work out as good in reality as it's supposed to in theory. Too many times I've not received the F tags, been "assured" F is coded into the RFID, and my bags pop out 10 minutes after in HKG after J and F. I'm convinced it doesn't work all the time and the physical F tag matters.
