CAA Inspectors

On today's BA1399 (MAN-LHR), one cabin crew broadcast to all who could hear in row 7 (audible +/- 5 rows) that there were two CAA Inspectors on board. He was letting a colleague know but was far from discrete.

One of them ended up in my row (he was wearing his CAA lanyard / ID), but it seemed that he wasn't doing an inspection on that flight (whatever that entails). Reading his paper during the safety brief for example...

On landing, he somehow managed to get out of his window seat, sneak in front of me as I was getting up (aisle seat), get his holdall, and be in front of me in the queue, all in a matter of seconds... pretty impressive really

Any ideas what CAA Inspectors might do on a flight, if anything?

Crew didn't do anything (obviously) different. Good flight actually.
