I booked domestic one-way ticket about a week ago. I just looked at my calendar last night and realized I accidentally booked it a day earlier than I needed.

Since the value of the ticket is less than $200, I'm assuming I'll just have to eat the cost of the ticket. But if I cancel the ticket, would I get the taxes back? Additionally, what happens if I don't cancel the ticket and don't show up? Lastly, can I book the same exact flight a day later with AA, or should I book with another airline? Last thing I want is for the actual flight I need to get cancelled.
