Several weeks ago when I called Hilton to book reservations I was redirected to hear some 500 point promo, little did I know that it wasn't just a commercial over the phone but an actual live person from Hilton Grand Vacations. I did in the end suckered into signing up for a 5 night stay in Orlando with requirement to attend some sort of seminar. Never realized that it was for timeshare until I read it on flyertalk later on.

After having never received the confirmation email and had my credit card charged, I called them up again but they would not cancel the charges, so I filed a charge dispute and CITI got HGV to refund the charges. Apparently CITI has hell of a lot more clout with these timeshare companies than the average consumer.
