Stayed at the Residence Inn Downtown San Diego Bayfront on points during spring break. Great location w/great views and a good rooftop pool. Spacious rooms with floor to ceiling windows. Friendly staff. A block off the waterfront. Only negative was mandatory valet parking ($40 - no self-park option), but you can access your vehicle while it's parked.
