That said most European J products (including BA/LH) are just middle seat blocked 30" pitch options so there aren't that many decent 'in flight' options.
I did a little checking and discovered that TK does not provide a 24-hour cancellation window. However, when booking a flight they give you the option to hold your reservation for 24 hours before having to pay. You can cancel the reservation within the 24 hour period at no cost. Once you pay you're stuck. Apparently AA also has this policy. The key is to make sure you select the hold option before paying. I suspect the hold option isn't particularly obvious - probably just an innocuous box you have to tick.
