My only advice is to make sure to go to the Air France transit desk at CDG to ensure your luggage goes through. I recently flew JFK-CDG-MRU (JFK-CDG on Air France and CDG-MRU on Air Mauritius) --- I flew in economy but as a flying blue plat, had priority tags on my luggage. Even with a 10 hour connection in CDG I didn't get my luggage upon arrival. The baggage lady in MRU was very nice and courteous, and did tell me it was common for travelers from the USA/Canada to somehow have their luggage left behind at CDG.
