Just called A3 and confirmed with the agent that SQ blocked some J class to A3, when I checked Aeroplan it was bookable. The flight was from MNL-SIN, only economy class is available to A3's system.
I told the agent that it is showing that it is bookable on Aeroplan, and she said she will give me a call back tomorrow.
Update: The agent called me 5 in the morning today to confirm that the flight can be booked! However, it is not the date that I wanted.

I recently checked for an award flight TLV - YYZ using A3 miles, but the A3 agent told me AC does not release business class seats to them on that flight.
But I don't see why availability should be available to 1 partner, and not to another *A partner.
Are different partners closer than others?
