I've contacted both Hertz UK HQ and the Hertz facility at the airport who both confirmed that with the CPD that I would not face the under age surcharge at the airport.
They were reluctant to provide this confirmation in writing though.
I'll just have to wait and see.
Who is eligible for that CDP? I took a look myself to try and see what discounts I could get (I'm over 25 so I don't need to pay the underage fee regardless) and it seems like they'll pretty much let anyone use it.
As for the underage fee situation, you should let us know how it goes :P. I think people here will be curious
