I'm an individual flyer with long legs. I would hate to think that a 'family' or group could push me into a middle seat or a more cramped seat even after I have taken the time and spent the money to make sure I get an aisle seat or other roomier seat.

After all, I make a point of reserving the seat as early as possible to make sure I get one that I am comfortable in. Families and groups can certainly do the same. I say this as a family man, not some lone single fellow with nobody else in his life.
