BetterBidding was actually started soley as a Hotwire board, but just a few days after launch I learned (at FlyerTalk) that many people were also looking for a Priceline board that was more objective and less heavily moderated. I decided to satisfy that need and since we were so new i was able to re-format the board to include the Priceline component.

Although Priceline typically offers better rates than Hotwire, it's interesting to note that we've recently seen an increase in users that have been able to get rooms thru Hotwire at bid levels that had previously been rejected by Priceline.

Our intention isn't to favor Priceline or Hotwire, it's for users to get the best rate they can, no matter where that may be (although it's often difficult to beat Priceline/Hotwire). This is why we also offer an "Other Deals" section which is designed for deals offered thru the hotels themselves, and other sources like Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.
