warakron nice to read a TR 'of the beaten track' on the forum.

I have flown the Thomson (part of TUI) 787 several times and I must say the standard seems a lot higher, which is surprising given they are part of the same company.

At UK airports you get priority check in, security and boarding along with lounge access. There is no priority security or lounge access on the return but still there is a distinction between the cabins. There is also a meal choice and a wider choice of drinks, whilst the meals are serviced on plates rather than plastic trays and drinks come in a glass.

I am 6'3' so my main motivation is always the legroom but in this case the standard appears a lot higher and more premium economy rather than economy+ as you got.
