It's also a fraud on the properties which bear the cost of the Diamond benefits. There's a reason the legacy airlines have fraud departments to track this sort of conduct down.
I hope Hyatt takes the appropriate steps here (which would include confiscation of points, lifetime program ban, and cancelation of all reservations).
