WARNING: Priceline Not Living Up To It's Listed Hotel Amenity Icons and Services

Be forewarned that Priceline Hotel ratings such as boutique which Priceline lists will offer a Restaurant and Room Service MAY actually not have those services and amenities. But Priceline may claim it does as it is with the boutique rated Hotel Union Square Hotel in San Francisco's Union Square East-Embarcadero zone (that my friend got for 2/14-2/17) which has neither. The hotel does not own it's own restaurant, does not have one on the property and does not offer it's own room service, obviously. And Priceline even admits it but won't cancel the hotel.

From Priceline.com Boutique Description:

Boutique hotels cater to the customer and tend to provide a more personal level of guest service. Creative restaurants, room service, fitness centers and business services are some of the amenities and services offered.

Boutique hotels will have the following amenities:
Restaurant

E-mail from Priceline.com to friend who got this hotel:

Dear XXXXX XXXXX,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.

We apologize, but we will not be able to cancel you reservation. There is a service that may be utilized to order dinner. We understand it is not run by the hotel, but they do offer information in guest rooms. We are aware that the restaurant is not inside the hotel, but right next door. This amenity is offered, just not owned and operated by the hotel. If we canceled for your friend for the same hotel and the same reasons, there was an error and should not have been canceled.

We apologize for any inconvenience, and hope you give us the opportunity to serve your future travel needs.
Sincerely,

PXXXX M.

So if there is a Denny's or IHOP next door to the hotel or Pizza Hut delivers, I guess Priceline feels that meets their restaurant and room service amenities.

NOT ACCEPTABLE and MISLEADING.
Priceline needs to live up to what it SAYS the hotel will offer through it's hotel decriptions and amenity icons PERIOD and cancel my friends reservation (they also need to get customer service reps who know how to spell "cancelled")
