THIS. I complain about this all the time. Especially the bar chairs where the seat is wood with no cushion and the chair "back" is 2 inches tall. I always end up standing at the bar making people around me uncomfortable because I don't want to sit in those stupid seats.
I'm with you there. Usually they're expensive custom designed chairs meant to look good with the decor. Costs them over time when they miss out on regulars who don't want a bad back.
I don't get why people would like a bar where it's uncomfortable to sleep.
