Stayed here earlier in the week on a cash & points rate.

It was good, but not *amazing*.

On the plus side:
The public areas are beautiful and impressed the people I was meeting there.
I had asked in advance for an early check in (11am) and this was accommodated.
As HH Gold, I was told I would get continental breakfast for two included. As it happened, I had a breakfast meeting at the hotel, we both ordered the a la carte Scottish breakfast and although I expected to pay for that, there was no charge when I asked for the bill.
Most of the staff were absolutely charming.
My rate (£85 plus 20k points - and on a weeknight) was a bit of a bargain, especially as I'm used to London hotel prices!

The negatives:
The room was very small - I struggled to get the chair between the bed and the desk to work.
The room was located on the first floor of the hotel, on the inside overlooking what very very optimistically could be called a 'courtyard'.
They said upgrades would be offered on a space available basis - I assume there was no space!
Concierge/bell captain seemed pretty useless. Lots of running around and it took me some time to recover my bag from them.

So the pros definitely outweigh the cons, but as I said, it's not perfect.
