Don't trust Google Maps for weekend trains - it doesn't always pick up engineering works etc

Flying, as per stut's option, should be quicker but probably a bit more expensive. The FlyBe gets into MAN at 12:30, from which you should be able to catch the 12:55 to Liverpool Lime St if you are quick. Otherwise the 13:33 would still get you into Lime St by 15:00.
