You spent over 2 hours at the checkin desk? What time did you arrive at checkin? The checkin desks only open 3 hours before the flight and close 40-60mins before the flight..

Did you order a special meal? Standard CW meals are all cooked in batches in the oven, and I don't think they are loaded frozen.
