It could be a matter of personal preference, and also catering can vary quite a lot from flight to flight and choice from choice even on the same flight on the same airline. E.g. on CI sometimes the food is really...barely edible (and only if you are really hungry), while at other times it's pretty good...even on the same flight, there can be a big difference on the menu items (one is quite good, other is really not good at all). That is generally true across many (most?) airlines.
