I actually find that UK plugs work really well on airplanes. We use 3 fat prongs, and I find they're very well supported in these receptacles. Euro plugs on the end of USB chargers tend to be wobbly because the charger itself cannot be flush with the prongs due to the design of continental receptacles which are recessed.
+1 on this. I carry a US-to-UK converter in my bag at all times, and when a plug's being wobbly, I plug it in through the converter.
