Question Problem with AmEx Apple Pay in Canada

Hey Everyone,

Apple Pay was working really well for the two American Express cards I got before I tried to add a third card last week.

It seems like there is an authentication problem with the "handshake" between AmEx and Apple. The system suggested me to contact the card issuer, which I promptly did, and American Express didn't have a clue about what's going on with Apple Pay.

The error message I'm receiving is "Could Not Add Card. Try again later or contact your card issuer for more information."

One agent from Plat Card Services recommended me to remove all the credit/charge cards from Apple Pay. After doing that, I couldn't add any of my AmEx cards back. The exact same error message is popping up for all three of my cards.

My RBC USA debit card works fine with Apple Pay though. I also tried to remove it and add it back in, there was no problem.

Is anyone else having similar trouble with Apple Pay? Or any suggestions on how to work around this issue? I've also gotten in touch with AppleCare, a device setting reset couldn't solve the problem either.
