Hello all,

so I'm thinking this might finally be the time I get to Vancouver.
Part of the reason I've never been is because it's not cheap flying out there, but now that I've got a $200 GC to use w/ AC, I figure, why not?

Unfortunately, hotels from what I've seen are a crap ton more than Toronto and rivalling Paris, London (actually the Premier Inn, in Central London is LESS) and NYC, which is crazy.

I'm looking at mid June and Holiday Inn's are almost $200. From what I can tell there are no festivals or anything, just the norm.

Anyways, if anyone could suggest something decent it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I'm considering going to the Okanagan (Osoyoos to be exact) as I'm very much into wines (training to do the sommelier exam and yes I know any Canadian wine is not even mentioned on the exam) so I'd like to visit.
Is it realistic to do it on a solo trip? 6 hrs does seem like quite the drive...

Anyone done it?
