Are there, at least, bars in the KUL terminal? We were bemoaning only a one hour layover since we would miss the club but we'll live

Those were the days of yore ... MH used to have a better lounge and better in-flight service than most other airlines. A little sad these days.

When I was there in March 2016, there was a sports bar in the satellite terminal where you could get a drink. If you wish to use the Golden Lounge in the satellite terminal, alcohol is still served there. Only 1 type of champagne these days - Cattier - for both business and first. Given the short layover, if you go to the lounge, you are best off going to the "bar" section on the left by the business lounge for expedited service. The transit train between the satellite and main terminal is relatively efficient - about 5 mins. No idea about the lounges in the main terminal. Hope useful.

General KUL alcohol question: BA didn't serve any alcohol while on the tarmac in KUL - apparently Malaysia rules prohibit ANY airline from serving alcohol while on the tarmac? Is this a new rule (quite believable)? Or another BA cost cutting excuse (sadly, also believable)? Any thoughts / observations much appreciated.
