We come,at times,to FT to "complain" about our airline. Should we then, either be quiet or start our own airline?
Should we start our own hotel chain rather than posts our disagreements?
This other board could be better, much better,if its owner was willing to learn from complaints.I,as most here, are happy in the businesses we are in. That said,it would be quite easy to better this other boards "product",if I (and many other enterprising FT'ers)desired to.But,until (and if) someone seriously takes this on,we will refer to that board. Many of us (and others )will no longer post there ,thus,it will not be as helpful as it could.
I remember a neighbor boy,a bit of a bully, who was the only one with a ball on our block. If we didn't play by his rules,we could not play. It was the only game on the block, yet it was getting harder and harder to get a game up.You see, after awhile,it's no fun to play with a bully. Then one day,a new boy moved in and he had a ball. Now,this ball wasn't as nice.We really didn't know this new boy well. But,we sure couldn't wait to get to know him.It wasn't too long before no one wanted to play with the old bully at all.And our games were better than ever.
I still remember when Lotus 1-2-3 and IBM were the "bullies" of the PC world. Then one day there was a "new kid on the block"...
I'm looking foward to that new kid on the "priceline advice block".Until then,we can all keep repeating "it's her ball,er I meant board, and she can do with it what she wants".
