For US driving licenses, you'll probably need an international driving license (the same way, europeans need one for renting a car here in the US). For specific information, you should check the website of the rental agency.
No one that I've looked at so far has mentioned needing the IDL, which is why I'm asking here.....(so far have checked CostcoTravel which gives rates for a few, EuropCar, and Skyscanner - which was out of the UK so wouldn't have license info)
