Interesting question. I mean I just booked an $8 Doubltree for March for one night via Priceline. Say I stay a second night, I wonder WHAT rate Doubletree will then come up with?! Probably not rack rate of $160 or whatever, but you can bet it will be nowhere NEAR $8 a night either.

Same deal with your car I guess .. your pre-paid Alamo rental covers only specific days. The EXTRA days unless you have re-negotiated with them, they can charge darn well any rate they like. Me, I'd hit the coupon connection looking for some more $15 off Alamo vouchers!
