No. ACE has been in liquidation for nearly 4 years. Its assets have been sold and the company has been in the process of being wound down. Milton is long gone.

He led the very difficult process of merging with CP, then AC got walloped by the post-9/11 decline in travel. Yes, AC went into CCAA, but most of the big US airlines filed Chapter 11 at some point in the following years as well. The spinning off of Aeroplan, Jazz, etc, were novel moves. The fleet was renewed. As far as I recall, the investors who backed the restructuring made good money. And so on.
I'm not saying the guy's a saint or that he's Warren Buffett, but I can see why some activist investors might think he could help shake up UA.
