You can just use expert flyer to search for the seat map. If it's outside of the OLCI window, the seat map should be pretty accurate.
JALPak, on the EF seat map I see an empty window - 5A (this is on the 77W in J class). However, the JAL online booking engine won't let me select that seat, says it's occupied. Any idea if 5A a special seat blocked only for JAL elites or something to that extent?
