no, the difference are in J sub fareclass restrictions. Some of the cheaper CX biz fare classes have restrictions, whereas on JAL they don't appear to be...at least from outports like HKG, TPE, etc.
A and F are pretty straightforwardly generous IME. The only difference...besides price....seems to be availability. Last minute inevitably you get screwed buying full F more often than not. But the terms are usually almost identical.
