ANA Crowne Plaza Okayama

What is your Priority Club status?
Spire

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Extremely

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked "standard room" (with no bed info available online) on 5,000 point break; upgraded to executive suite

How are the rooms?
Didn't see the regular rooms, but the executive suite was amazing! In the living room there was a separate toilet only bathroom, and in the bedroom (2 twin beds) the large and deep Japanese bathtub was separate from the shower and the second toilet.

How is the exec. lounge?
Didn't visit

What was good and what was bad?
Didn't use any of the facilities of the hotel - so I can't comment on anything other than the room. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
Extreme value, and yes, absolutely!

In all honesty, I don't think my booking deserved an upgrade to the suite. My booking showed "standard room" until the night before, when it turned into "one double bed" on the app. I was staying at the ANA Crowne Plaza in Kobe, and asked the front desk there to call Okayama and ask for a little help. Iexplained that my travel partner and I (we're both tall males) would have a pretty hard time fitting into one double bed, and if they could call ahead and request a twin room for us. I even said to the rep at the Kobe hotel, please stress that I'm not asking for an upgrade, just 2 beds. She called, and explained that the hotel was out of twin rooms, but would try to find a solution before we reached the hotel. To be honest, I really liked the solution - I almost felt guilty! But the staff at the Okayama property were very gracious and helpful, and because of that I changed my booking in the next city (Hiroshima) to the ANA Crowne Plaza there as well.
