Expedia Bargain Fares - Experiences?
I just booked my first fare using Expedia's Bargain Fare to fly from CHA to ORD for only $145.64 for a weekend trip in late July. Checking airfares using Expedia and tavelocity, the lowest airfares were showing as around $400 rt (I know it's high, that's Chattanooga pricing for you). I had a couple of questions for anyone that might know:
I originally plugged in an evening departure and a morning return. That is what I got and I was wondering if that was likely a coincidence or whether they attempt to accomodate your time if they can?
I got an e-ticket and like them generally. Should I expect any problems?
I understand that I won't get any FF miles for the flights but if I understand I would be eligible for compensation if I get bumped, even on a ticket like this, right?
It appears that I might be able to change my return for a $100 fee subject to availablity. That is interesting in that would still be cheaper than buying a ticket for the flight times I wanted.
Finally, I checked this out last night but didn't give it a try until this morning. The price went from $137 to $145 overnight. Any ideas why?
