Sorry to revive a really old thread but we are trying to make a tough decision.

I know these are very different but would be great to hear some opinions from people who have been to both. This would be for late March / early April 2017

Option #1) 4 nights at amanpulo and 3 nights @ PH Tokyo (cherry blossom season)

Option #2) 2 nights at amanjiwo, 2 nights at one of the bali Amans (leaning towards amankila, but open to suggestions) 3 nights at amanwana, 1 day at amanusa before flight (likely in this order)

We don't mind moving around too much (only in mid 20s and have limited vacation time so I sort of have to do this). We would even considering splitting the 2 middle nights in Bali between different resorts if that's a good option.

I know amanpulo costs more than the indonesian amans, but we plan to use points for PHT, so all-in I think the costs would be similar.

As a reference, I have been to El Nido and it was one of my favorite places on earth, I first heard about amanpulo from a guest whom I met at pangulasian. Never been to Japan or Indonesia
