It irks me when there's a big slap on the back type announcement from the flight deck about arriving ahead of schedule as the aircraft pulls on to a remote stand. Any gain in time quickly evaporates - even when they are not faffing around with the steps and have remembered to dispatch buses in good time.

On my domestics I can make doors open to the tube in under 4 minutes. You're never going to beat that on the happy bus from the far-corner-of-the-back-of-beyond-somewhere-over-by-Terminal-3-but-it's-just-a-little-too-dark-to-work-out-exactly-where-you-are-and-why-are-people-still-wandering-down-the-steps-when-I-got-on-this-bus-thirteen-minutes-ago...
