Fair enough for SH 35-45 minute turnarounds, however I did not think LH aircraft did short turnarounds - it's a 787 being discussed here.
Maybe they got hot on a long stop start taxi as is common at LHR, especially if they are getting worn. Remember the aircraft is heaviest at takeoff.
Complete speculation now but I also imagine LHR asks incoming aircraft to brake harder than other airports to vacate the runway quickly, so even if the turnaround time wasn't SH short, it still might not have given them time to cool down fully.
Maybe even one of the brakes was inoperative.
Plenty of possible reasons.
