I know that I will lose my BAEC Gold Card this year (well - probably) so I am thinking I will use my last chance to play the "joker" of being able to book any reward flight at double-points if there is a paid seat available.

I'lll be looking to book 2 Business (or First) flights from London to a sun-holiday destination like the Caribbean or Dubai or the Maldives.

This will be at short-notice (mid/early May).

This is unusual for us: we normally book months in advance and never with Avios. I have plenty of Avios to spend.

Any tips/suggestions ?
