I don't know where you stayed but this is not a typical Staybridge Suites. It was designed as a timeshare but during the housing collapse, it was decided to open as a hotel instead. This is the only Staybridge Suites that has a full kitchen and a washer/dryer in every 1-bedroom unit. The rooms have marble floors and are virtually soundproof. It also has a larger pool area, with 4 free cabanas, that most days are virtually deserted.
The hotel is on the other side of the freeway from Mandalay Bay so it isn't in the middle of nowhere.
I am currently in a suite on the side of I-15 with a view of the strip from my balcony. There is no noise in the room at all. Because of the superior design of this hotel, I rarely ever hear any noise and certainly not from guests (or the freeway).
