I had a return flight from BEG to PEK via Doha, and on the return leg we more than an hour later due to waiting for some passengers (not myself
). This caused me to miss my connection to BEG (the layover was ~1h itself). They gave me a reroute via TXL, that gets me to BEG 10h later than the original flight. Also I received a courtesy hotel room for 4h in Doha.
My question is do you think I will be able to get any more comp from them for the inconvenience? What was your previous experience in similar cases?
EU261 would apply, but Serbia is not a member state of the EU, therefore you won't be entitled to any further compensation. Like previously mentioned, you might be able to get a few Qpoints/Qmiles for raising this issue with QR, but again as above, QR has done its best to get you to your destination and provided you with the necessary i.e. a courtesy room.
