I quite like it. Makes you feel welcome. But if you're going to do it, you should do it properly. CX do all in the time IME even in Y and it's nice to get a bottle of water or a glass of fizz.

Even IB on a BOG-MAD in Y a couple of weeks ago the Purser managed to find me and the g/f and gave what sounded like a genuine welcome aboard.
