I received an email regarding an upcoming Diamond Guaranteed reservation that was booked last week,saying they were cancelling my reservation and blamed renovation timeline issues.

This location is operational,but perhaps with fewer rooms available due to the construction issue.

As of now, I can still book a Diamond reservation online for this property,but assume that it too would be cancelled by the hotel.

What is the point of such a guarantee if they are going to boot a Diamond over other patrons?

Has anyone had their Diamond Guarantee reservation cancelled and been successful at getting it overturned?
