as said, I won't be going into too much 'normal' detail.
the shuttle across was quick and they were boarding all cabins when I arrived at the gate.
I was excited / anxious re how this would all work out. Was I about to experience the secret handshake. Be invited in for Galley FM. be frowned upon as non-rev. etc.
both the processing at the gate and the welcome at the door by the CSD were professional and disappointingly 'normal'. "welcome mr chris1979. 20a, down this way".
I did have to remind myself that the manifest wouldn't show any status but just the 23/J41.
After refusing the amenity kit (as instructed), I did chat with the crew looking after my side and told her that it was my first 'staff travel' experience and she teased me saying that i better be on best behaviour then.
as mentioned, it was a high J so had the new cabin which was great.
