I think VX is a great name and brand, with little negativity compared to US and CO names. It seems a shame to lose the name. Plus Virgin overall is a great brand name for entertainment and Virgin Atlantic.

I still assume that VX F product will have cheaper snacks with less Dean & Deluca branding.
Virgin might have a great name, but it wasn't enough to help the airline turn a profit until fuel prices recently took a dump. The overall product is really good, but the Alaska branding is stronger in the air travel market. Even if it were a coin toss regarding the stronger brand name, the Virgin name costs money - a percentage right off the top - while Alaska doesn't.
