I'll be driving from Durban to Cape Town in 2/03 with a friend. If anyone has driven this route and/or has any advice for me, I'd appreciate it. The two sources I've read have indiacted that the 1000 miles can be driven in 15-16 hours' time. I plan on taking a week to cover the distance. I'd really like to know about safety problems, good places to stay, must-sees and anything else you can think of.
