Hi everyone! This is my beloved cat's first flight ever and I'm afraid Drax is in for a doozy! I am relocating to Manila for work, and Drax is coming with me. Drax and I are very close, and he generally feels calm around me- for this reason, I would really love to keep him in-cabin with me. From my understanding, only two airlines will allow him in-cabin to Manila; Asiana and Korean Air.
I purchased a very lightweight carrier, however upon weighing kitty and carrier together, they are 6.2KG- 1.2KG over the weight limit for in-cabin. Does anyone have any experience with this? Will Asiana or Korean air be more forgiving? Or will I be turned away at the door? I am truly afraid to put my cat in cargo- he is a nervous thing and I don't think he would handle it well one bit.

Please, whoever had experience, please do let me know. I am losing sleep over this.
