Booked a night at Holiday Inn Vantaa (Helsinki) and spotted that a charge of 10EUR for a second adult has been added to the total price. Emailed the IHG Rewards Club team to find out if it can be waived.
No. This has been the practice for quite some time at least in Helsinki properties and actually I am staying also a staycation to complete my Accelerate and I have 2nd guest and 10€ extra charge.
What I did not see in the past is though, that during latest months, when I am being upgraded into higher cat room, the price on the reservation reflects the higher cat room price, but when checkin-out, I am charged only the original amount. Quite weird they do that , but whatever, as far as the price stays as booked...
