Outside of the restaurant, that was just "OK" in my opinion, it's an overpriced dorm room.
The hotel shares the lower levels with the Hyatt place, which is why there are two gyms and you can enter either property and access the other via the lower level.
Ahhhhh all makes sense now WRT the gyms.
Don't disagree on the aloft aesthetic...but at least it's new & nice & not a bland Marriott budget offering. Far more interesting than a similarly priced CY I stayed at nearby in Chicago last month.
