With respect, there is no rule saying you can't pass security or use any lounge more than 3 hours before departure, and with TG you can check in any time on the same day at BKK
When I have debated this with QR staff before, they have suggested I go to the photocopy shop to get a print out of my boarding pass and just go through security with that... I didn't have any spare change, so I used a mobile boarding pass (which, contrary to what QR claims, is perfectly acceptable in BKK) and I used an old premium lane pass to use priority security
Of course that's all fine, but it's seems churlish of the QR check in people not to just print your boarding pass for you and give you a premium lane pass when you are only have hand luggage - they only end up reprinting the very same boarding pass for you at the gate
