Hi there -

Mrs_dergon and I will be attending a conference in Barolo, Italy in October. We're there for 4 days. Then we'll have 4 nights after the conference ends to do a little travelling. She would like to see Nice. Neither of us have ever been anywhere along the Riviera.


So as of now I am figuring to pick up a rental car and drive. We'll fly out from NCE at the end.




So here are a few questions:

On a drive from Barolo to Nice are there any "do not miss" sights?

Is there a specific location to stop for a day visit? Or even a single over-night along the way?



Then where in/around Nice would you stay?
Eat?
Visit?
